Application

The flame retardant Decabromodiphenyl ethane has extremely excellent thermal stability, high bromine content, good thermal stability, good UV resistance, low permeability, and is not suitable for all solvents. It is widely used in styrene based polymers, engineering thermoplastic plastics, wire and cable packaging and insulation materials, elastomers, and thermosetting plastics. It is particularly suitable for the production of high-end materials such as computers, fax machines, telephones, copiers, and household appliances for flame retardancy.

Decabromodiphenyl ethane does not produce toxic polybrominated dibenzodioxanes (DBDO) and polybrominated dibenzofuranes (DBDF) during thermal cracking or combustion, and its flame-retardant materials do not pose any harm to the environment. Decabromodiphenyl ethane has no toxicity, no teratogenicity to organisms, and no side effects on aquatic organisms such as fish. It meets the requirements of environmental protection. Decabromodiphenyl ethane is quite stable in the system used, and thermoplastic materials that are flame retardant with it can be recycled. The adverse effect of Decabromodiphenyl ethane on the properties of flame retardant materials is smaller than that of traditional flame retardant Decabromodiphenyl ether, and it has good light resistance and low permeability.
