Resin hardener and material synthesis:
1-Vinylimidazole is commonly used as a resin hardener and participates in the synthesis of cationic phosphine ligands. It is used in ionic liquid biphasic catalytic systems and exhibits catalytic activity in the hydrogenation of long-chain olefins. In addition, the magnetic bifunctional ionic liquid prepared by alkylation reaction has both magnetism and conductivity, and can be applied to the preparation of magnetic polymer materials from functional monomers.
Application of oilfield chemistry:
In oilfield chemistry, 1-Vinylimidazole is used as a copolymer monomer, combined with modified humic acid and other substances, to prepare temperature and salt resistant filtrate reducers to improve drilling fluid performance.
