Its main applications are as follows:
Intermediate temperature curing agent for epoxy resin:
2-Ethylimidazole is used for bonding, encapsulation, coating, and lamination processes in instrumentation, electrical components, chemical machinery, vehicles, and defense industries.
Components of metal rust inhibitor:
2-Ethylimidazole can work synergistically with other ingredients such as urea, zinc powder, benzotriazole, etc., to produce metal rust inhibitors suitable for metals such as copper and aluminum.
Organic synthesis intermediate:
2-Ethylimidazole is used for the synthesis of 1-methyl-2-ethylimidazole, methyl acrylate modified derivatives, imidazole ionic liquids, etc. These derivatives have further applications in curing agents, electrolytes, pharmaceuticals and other fields.
