2-(Methacryloyloxy) ethyl acrylate is used to synthesize acrylic lotion for high solid content acrylic resin and low VOC industrial/architectural coatings, which can reduce viscosity, improve coating elasticity and toughness, and reduce glass transition temperature. ‌
2-(Methacryloyloxy) ethyl acetate, as a photocuring monomer and a crosslinking agent at room temperature, can self crosslink to form an acrylic lotion. ‌
Textile and fiber:
2-(Methaclyloxy) ethyl acetoacetate is used to produce non fading fibers(azo dyes) that enhance adhesion through metal ion chelation. ‌
Pharmaceuticals and pesticides:
