Malononitrile(CAS:109-77-3) is widely used in the chemical industry, mainly include:

1.Pharmaceutical intermediates: Malononitrile is a raw material for synthesizing various key drugs, and mainly used in the production of a series of important drugs such as Vitamin B1, Aminopterine and Methotrexate. It is also an indispensable intermediate in the manufacture of diuretics.

1.Skin contact: Immediately remove contaminated clothing and thoroughly rinse with plenty of flowing water or 5% sodium thiosulfate solution for at least 20 minutes. Seek medical attention.
2.Eye contact: Lift the eyelids and rinse with flowing water or saline solution. Seek medical attention.
3.Inhalation: Quickly leave the scene and move to a place with fresh air. Keep the respiratory tract unobstructed. If breathing is difficult, administer oxygen. When breathing and heartbeat stop, immediately perform artificial respiration (do not use mouth to mouth) and chest compressions. Inhale isoamyl nitrite. Seek medical attention.
4.Ingestion: Drink plenty of warm water, induce vomiting, and wash the stomach with 1:5000 Potassium permanganate or 5% sodium thiosulfate solution. Seek medical attention.
5.Extinguishing method: Foggy water, foam, carbon dioxide, dry powder, sand. Prohibit the use of acid-base fire extinguishing agents.
