Application

1.Methyl paraben is mainly used in organic synthesis, and used as bactericidal and preservative in food, cosmetics and medicine. It is also used as preservative in feed.

2.Methylparaben has strong antibacterial effects, with the most prominent being its antibacterial ability against mold and yeast. However, it has poor effects on some bacteria (Gram negative bacteria, lactic acid bacteria), so it is often used in combination with other preservatives in cosmetics.
