Propylene glycol phenyl ether is widely used in automotive coatings, electrophoretic coatings, inks, paint removers, adhesives, soaps and perfume protectors for cosmetics.
Feature
1.Propylene glycol phenyl ether has a pleasant aromatic and sweet odor, and is non-toxic and environmentally friendly.
2.Propylene glycol ether has high boiling point and low volatility characteristics, which significantly reduces the VOC of coatings.
3.Propylene glycol phenyl ether is mainly used as an efficient film-forming agent for various water-based latex and dispersion coatings, particularly effective in glossy and semi gloss paints.
4.Propylene glycol phenyl ether is a strong solvent for various polymers such as vinyl acetate, acrylate, and styrene acrylate. It has low water solubility (lower than the evaporation rate of water, which helps to swell particles), ensuring that it is completely absorbed by latex particles, forming an excellent continuous coating film, thereby giving latex paint the best aggregation performance and color development.
5.Compared with ordinary film forming additives such as TEXANOL (alcohol ester 12), Propylene glycol phenyl ether reduces the dosage of this product by about 30-50% when the paint film is fully formed, with the same gloss, fluidity, anti sagging, color development, and scrub resistance conditions.
6.Propylene glycol phenyl ether has extremely strong coalescence ability, with a comprehensive film-forming efficiency increased by 1.5 to 2 times, and a significant reduction in production costs.
7.The minimum film forming temperature (MFT) of Propylene glycol phenyl ether can reach -1°C.
8.Through product optimization, Propylene glycol phenyl ether can be directly added at any stage of paint making. We recommend adding it before lotion, or adding 50% or 50% respectively at the pigment grinding stage, so that this product can be easily coupled with other ingredients in the formula system, and better emulsified and dispersed without affecting the stability of pigments.
