Tolyltriazole is a widely used chemical for metal rust prevention and corrosion inhibition, mainly used for the protection of non-ferrous metals such as copper, silver, nickel, zinc, etc., as well as for corrosion inhibition of ferrous metals. Its core application areas include:
Metal rust prevention and corrosion inhibition:
Tolyltriazole forms a protective film on metal surfaces to prevent corrosion from oxygen and corrosive substances. Especially suitable for gas-phase corrosion inhibition of copper alloys, it can extend the service life of equipment.
Industrial applications:
Anti rust grease: Tolyltriazole can be used in anti rust oil (grease) products as a vapor phase corrosion inhibitor for copper alloys.
Lubricant additive: Tolyltriazole can improve lubricant performance, reduce friction and wear.
Circulating water treatment: Tolyltriazole, as a cooling water system treatment agent, can prevent equipment corrosion.
Automotive antifreeze: Tolyltriazole can enhance the corrosion resistance of antifreeze.
Composite use:
When Tolyltriazole is combined with corrosion inhibitors such as sodium mercaptobenzothiazole (MBT · Na), the corrosion inhibition effect can be significantly improved, especially suitable for closed loop cooling systems.
Other applications:
Scale inhibitor combination: Tolyltriazole is used in conjunction with scale inhibitors to maintain the cleanliness of the water system.
