Application
Chlorodiphenyl phosphine(CDPP) is an important chemical intermediate mainly used in the following fields:
UV resistant and flame retardant agents:
CDPP is the core raw material for UV resistant agents and organic phosphorus flame retardants. It reacts with metallic sodium to produce sodium diphenylphosphine, which is further used in the synthesis of UV curable coatings and flame retardants such as cyclic phosphonamide carboxylic acid anhydrides.
Catalysts and organic synthesis:
In asymmetric synthesis, CDPP serves as a catalyst precursor and participates in the Grignard reagent reaction to generate diphenylphosphine based compounds. These compounds are further used in the preparation of insecticides (such as fenthion), plastic stabilizers (such as Sandostab P-EPQ), and halogen compound catalysts.
Plasticizers and dyes:
The derivatives of CDPP are also used in the production of plasticizers and react with 2-acetylpyridine to generate specific organic phosphine ligands, some of which can be used as dye intermediates.
Storage
Store in a sealed container, away from direct sunlight or high temperature environments. Store separately from oxidants, acids, etc. to avoid mixing storage. Do not come into contact with water, humid environments, alcohols, amines and active metals, otherwise violent decomposition reactions may occur.
