Coagulants and water treatment:
DMAEA is the core component of polymer cationic flocculants, used in wastewater treatment, paper industry, and water treatment agent production. Its polymer can enhance hydrophilicity and thermosetting properties, improving adhesive strength.
Coatings and adhesives:
Adding DMAEA to coating formulations can improve hydrophilicity and thermosetting properties, enhance the water resistance and curing effect of adhesives.
Contact lenses and drug coating:
Dimethylaminoethyl methacrylate(DMAEMA) is used in the production of contact lens drug coating film, which has both biocompatibility and sustained-release function.
Food preservation and antioxidant properties:
DMAEA derivatives, such as 3-(N,N-Dimethylamino) ethyl acrylate, can be used as food preservatives to extend the shelf life of meat, fish, and other foods, while also having color protection and antioxidant effects.
