L-Lactide(CAS:4511-42-6) is an important chiral organic compound mainly used as a monomer for synthesizing biodegradable polymer materials, especially in the fields of biomedical and environmentally friendly materials.
Main purpose:
1.Synthesis of PLLA: Poly(L-lactic acid) with high optical purity, high crystallinity, and good mechanical properties can be obtained through ring opening polymerization. It is widely used in medical materials such as absorbable sutures and bone fixation instruments.
2.Preparation of copolymers: L-Lactide can be copolymerized with D-lactide or glycolide to adjust the degradation rate and mechanical properties of the material, making it suitable for drug delivery systems, tissue engineering scaffolds, etc.
3.Biodegradable plastics: L-Lactide, as a green polymer raw material, is used in the production of environmentally friendly packaging materials, disposable products, etc., reducing white pollution.

1.L-Lactide is a biodegradable material. During storage, L-Lactide should avoid contact with water, acidic substances, alkaline substances, alcohol reagents, and other reagents that can cause product degradation.
2.L-Lactide should be sealed, stored in a dry and low-temperature environment (frozen in a refrigerator at -20°C), and sealed with a sealing machine (residual products after use should not be stored in self sealing bags).
3.When using L-Lactide, take it out of the refrigerator and leave it at room temperature. Wait until it reaches room temperature to wipe off any condensed moisture on the surface of the packaging bag before opening it (if it is not opened at the same temperature after being taken out of the refrigerator, moisture in the air will condense onto the surface of the product, causing it to degrade). The air humidity in the environment during use should be less than 35% to avoid residual products getting damp and affecting product quality.
