2-Hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin (CAS:128446-35-5) is a widely used drug delivery carrier, which can enhance stability and utilization.

Its main applications including:

1. In the fields of food and spices, it can enhance the stability and longevity of nutritional molecules, mask or correct the unpleasant odors and flavors of food nutritional molecules, and improve production processes and product quality.
2. As a stabilizer, emulsifier, deodorant, etc. in cosmetic raw materials, it can reduce the irritation of organic molecules in cosmetics to skin and mucous membranes, enhance the stability of active ingredients, and prevent the volatilization and oxidation of nutrients. It has a certain relative hygroscopicity.
3. In the pharmaceutical industry, due to its relatively low surface activity and hemolytic activity and no irritation to muscles, it is an ideal solubilizer for injections and excipient for drugs.

2-Hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin should be stored  in a cool, well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight, strong acids/alkalis, and strong oxidizing or reducing agents.

1. Wear appropriate protective gloves and safety goggles when handling 2-Hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin to avoid eye and skin contact.
2. Use adequate ventilation or a dust mask (N95) when handling 2-Hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin powder to avoid inhalation.
3. Wash hands thoroughly after handling 2-Hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin and keep 2-Hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin away from food and beverages.

1. If inhaled, move 2-Hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin exposed person to fresh air immediately and consult a physician if discomfort occurs.
2. If in eyes, rinse 2-Hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin thoroughly with plenty of water for several minutes and remove contact lenses if present.
3. If swallowed, rinse mouth with water and never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person, then get medical attention.
